An initial planning application was submitted in May 2023 (see plan above) for this part of the scheme. This is still undergoing consultation as design changes are being made due to the extension of Harbour Village into the neighbouring Abacus Corner site. The diagram below shows the new intended layout for Phase 3b.

39 new homes are now planned for Phase 3b: 18 houses and 21 apartments. There will be a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units with 45 parking spaces. Houses to the south will reflect those being built in phase 2 of the scheme, while to the north the apartments will face onto the Fastrack Road and be designed to complement that part of the development. The apartment block on the Fastrack Road is being extended into Abacus Corner linking the new site to Harbour Village seamlessly.  

The material design and landscaping will be influenced by the neighbouring phases of Harbour Village.  To the north east of Phase 3b there will be an informal landscaped area to encourage social interaction. 

It is hoped that Phase 3b will be decided alongside Abacus Corner at the EDC Planning Committee by the end of the year, with work starting on site in Summer 2026.
